3D Printing

skills

This was a part that I designed and 3D printed, to hold a limit switch like the one in the image on the left. It was part of a research project, in our lab, to include a limit switch mechanism in a robotic device to detect when a motor carriage moved below a certain position and made contact - the goal was to integrate this into the main circuit to make the motor stop. The holder was designed to fit around the switch, leaving its terminals available for circuit connections, and to attach to other existing parts in the device - the picture on the right shows the installed piece in blue, printed using PLA material with the Ultimaker Extended 2+ 3D printer.
